Helly Hansen Lifaloft Insulator Gilet

One item of outdoor clothing that has definitely made the transition to the streets is the insulated puffa jacket. This lightweight insulated gilet from Helly Hansen utilises their Lifaloft™ insulation by PrimaLoft which, for its weight, is extremely warm and, unlike down, repels water – handy in the UK! I’ve been stuffing it in my rucksack on hikes and mountain bike rides and, for throwing on during snack or puncture stops, it’s perfect and hardly takes up any space. It’s water resistant and windproof – including a baffled zip and the generous pockets are great for warming your hands up. I’m sure, as we descend into the depths of winter, I might even be donning it for some frosty early morning runs. Away from the hills, it doesn’t look at all out of place in town and the “stealth camo” design has a definite urban feel to it.

Warm and lightweight insulated gilet that you can throw in your pack and wear to the pub.
